On the next page, the game is started. Activities Activity 1 VIDEO REVIEW | 10 MIN Purpose The goal of this game is to teach children and parents how to critically evaluate information they encounter online, especially when it comes to recognizing misinformation and disinformation. By working together as “news detectives,” they develop important media literacy skills, such as analyzing content, recognizing manipulation and fact-checking. The game also aims to foster cooperation between parents and children by encouraging open discussions about the importance of questioning and verifying information before it is assumed to be true. Ultimately, it empowers both to become more critical and responsible media consumers. The parent and child listen to the video together and answer the questions together Scenario The video you are about to watch is about a dog that appears to be talking. Ask your child to think about how the video might have been manipulated or whether there is a more reasonable explanation for the dog's behavior. Guide them in analyzing visual content and recognizing signs of editing or deception. The 'back' button, (the little arrow at the top right) allows you to go back to the previous page to watch the video again.
