From Crete to Macedonia: Engaging Families and Schools in the Efficient Parenting Pilot

Participating institutions include the 28th & 57th Primary Schools of Heraklion (Crete), the Gymnasium of Pikermi (East Attica), the 5th Experimental School of Kilkis and the 2nd Primary School of Pefka (Thessaloniki, Macedonia). Complementing these are the “Melissa” Foundation in Samos (East Aegean) and the “Robo‑Autism” Foundation in Thessaloniki, working specifically with families of children with disabilities.

Through interactive sessions, training modules, and family‑centred workshops, these pilot activities provide parents and caregivers with tools to navigate today’s complex, overlapping crises — digital, social, economic, and environmental. They promote resilience, digital literacy, inclusive parenting strategies, and active family participation.

The results emerging from these pilots in Greece will feed into the project’s curriculum and e‑learning platform, ensuring that all materials are grounded in lived experiences and responsive to the needs of diverse families across multiple educational contexts.
